Town Planning & Zoning Meeting Minutes – Wednesday, June 25, 2008

MINUTES OF THE BRUSLY PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION MEETING
June 25, 2008

A regular meeting of the Brusly Planning & Zoning Commission was held on Wednesday June 25, 2008 in the Council Meeting Room, Brusly Town Hall, and Brusly, Louisiana. Chairman Shane Sarradet called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM.

Members present: Jules Thibodaux, Carroll Fontenot, Shane Sarradet, Rosa Stelly.

Members absent: Steve Perkins, Claudette Purnell.
Others present: Marianne Berthelot, Joey Normand, Joanne Bourgeois,
James Williams.

Upon motion of Mrs. Stelly, seconded by Mr. Thibodaux, the minutes of the May 28, 2008 meeting were approved as written.

The request for approval of “Map Showing Subdivision of Lot 11, Live Oak Place Subdivision into Lots 11-A & 11-B, Sec. 57, T8S, R12E, Town of Brusly for Alice U. Rambin, 2821 Live Oak Dr” was discussed. A public hearing will be held at the July 23, 2008 meeting.

Mr. James Williams appeared before the commission to submit a request to subdivide a lot from his family’s property on First Street for the location of a new mobile home. The mayor advised the commission members that he discussed this request with Mr. Williams and it was determined that small setback variances are needed. He advised that Mr. Williams has the required signatures for the placement of the mobile home in the neighborhood. A public hearing will be held on this request at the July 23, 2008 meeting. Mr. Williams was advised to submit the subdivision plat along with his request to the secretary before the next meeting.

There were no Zoning matters to be discussed and there was no other business to come before the commission.

Mr. Thibodaux made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Fontenot seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.

The meeting of the Brusly Planning & Zoning Commission adjourned at 6:40 PM.
