Town Planning & Zoning Meeting Minutes – Wednesday, March 26, 2008

MINUTES OF THE BRUSLY PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION MEETING
March 26, 2008

A regular meeting of the Brusly Planning & Zoning Commission was held on Wednesday March 26, 2008 in the Council Meeting Room, Brusly Town Hall, Brusly, Louisiana. Vice-Chairman Fontenot called the meeting to order at 6:35 PM.

Members present: Jules Thibodaux, Carroll Fontenot, Rosa Stelly,
Steve Perkins, Claudette Purnell.
Members absent: Shane Sarradet.
Others present: Marianne Berthelot, Joanne Bourgeois, Chris Kershaw,
Don Neisler, Cletus Langlois, Charles Bezet.

Upon motion of Mrs. Stelly, seconded by Mr. Thibodaux, the minutes of the February 27, 2008 meeting were approved as written.

Vice-Chairman Fontenot opened the public hearing on the request of Randy Soniat for re-subdivision of Lot C-2, being a part of the Howard J. & Virginia M. Currie Lot on Allene Street, into Lots C-2A & C-2B. There was some discussion regarding the servitude. It was noted that the servitude is private and no municipal services are required to be made to the said lots by the Town of Brusly and it shall be the responsibility of the owner to bring utilities to the public right-of-way.

Mr. Thibodaux made a motion to recommend approval of ““Final Plat Showing the Re-subdivision of Lot C-2 being a part of the Howard J. & Virginia M. Currie Lot, into Lots C-2A & C-2B for Randall T. Soniat”. Motion was seconded by Mrs. Stelly and carried unanimously.

Under other business Charles Bezet submitted a request for re-subdivision of Lot 42, Allene Subdivision in order to create servitude of passage to his acreage in the rear. Mrs. Stelly made a motion to send this request to Public Hearing. Mr. Thibodaux seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. Public Hearing to be held at the next meeting on April 23, 2008.

There was no other business to come before the commission.

Mrs. Purnell made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Thibodaux seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.

The meeting of the Brusly Planning & Zoning Commission adjourned at 6:45 PM.
