Town Planning & Zoning Meeting Minutes – Wednesday, June 23, 2010

MINUTES OF THE BRUSLY PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION MEETING
June 23, 2010

A regular meeting of the Brusly Planning & Zoning Commission was held on Wednesday June 23, 2010 in the Council Chambers, Brusly Town Hall, Brusly, Louisiana. Vice Chairman Carroll Fontenot called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM.
Members present: Jules Thibodaux, Carroll Fontenot, Rosa Stelly, Gary Soniat,
Steve Perkins.

Members absent: Shane Sarradet, Claudette Purnell.
Others present: Marianne Berthelot, Paul Joffrion.

Upon motion by Mrs. Stelly, seconded by Mr. Thibodaux the minutes of the May 26 2010 meeting were approved as written.

There was no business to come before the Planning Commission.

ZONING

1. Variance Request submitted by Paul Joffrion seeking a 3-Foot side setback variance on east side of existing storage building at 3472 Allene St.

Mr. Joffrion was recognized. He informed the commission that the building site was inspected and approved by the Building Inspector when construction began. He stated that he was made aware of the error when Town Employees were doing some sewer work in the area. He advised that a statement of no objection from his neighbor was submitted along with the variance application.

There was no objection to this request.

Mr. Thibodaux made a motion to recommend approval of the variance. Mr. Perkins seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.

There was no other business to come before the Planning or Zoning Commission.

Mr. Thibodaux made a motion to adjourn. Mrs. Stelly seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.

The meeting of the Planning & Zoning Commission adjourned at 6:40 PM.
