Town Planning & Zoning Meeting Minutes – Wednesday, February 24, 2010

MINUTES OF THE BRUSLY PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION MEETING
FEBRUARY 24, 2010

A regular meeting of the Brusly Planning & Zoning Commission was held on Wednesday February 24, 2010 in the Council Chambers, Brusly Town Hall, Brusly, Louisiana. Mr. Sarradet called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM.

Members present: Jules Thibodaux, Carroll Fontenot, Shane Sarradet,
Rosa Stelly, Gary Soniat.
Members absent: Steve Perkins, Claudette Purnell.
Others present: Marianne Berthelot, Joanne Bourgeois.

Upon motion by Mr. Thibodaux seconded by Mr. Fontenot, the minutes of the January 27, 2010 meeting were approved as written.

Election of officers for the year 2010 was held. Shane Sarradet was re-elected Chairman and Carroll Fontenot Vice-Chairman by unanimous vote of those present.

PLANNING BUSINESS
None.

ZONING BUSINESS

Mr. Fontenot made a motion to hold a public hearing to obtain views regarding an ordinance that was introduced by the Town Council on February 8, 2010. Mr. Soniat seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. The proposed ordinance would amend and/or add various sections to Chapter 19 of the Code of Ordinances of the Town of Brusly, including the following matters in the Zoning Ordinance: Mobile Homes, to include installation, replacement, and modification; definition of “family”; houses not fronting on a public street; issuance of occupancy and building permits; permit fees; and amend and re-adopt the official zoning map of the Town of Brusly.
There was no other business to come before the Planning & Zoning Commission.

Mrs. Stelly made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Fontenot seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.

The meeting adjourned at 6:45 PM.
