Planning & Zoning Minutes – February 2025

MINUTES OF THE BRUSLY PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION MEETING
February 26, 2025

The meeting of the Brusly Planning & Zoning Commission was held on this date, February 26, 2025, at the Brusly Town Hall. Chairman LeMoine called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM. Commissioner Perkins led the Pledge of Allegiance. A roll call determined the following officials present:
Commissioners:                 Kim LeMoine, Steve Perkins, Ronda Perrault,                                                                 Cindy Popleon, Gary Soniat, Jeff Travasos
Absent:                              Steve Guidry
Others Present:                  Claude J. Haydel III

A motion to approve the minutes of December 18, 2024, meeting of the Planning & Zoning Commission, as written, was made by Commissioner Perrault and seconded by Commissioner Travasos. The minutes were approved unanimously. The January meeting was cancelled due to the weather.

Zoning:
Chairman LeMoine read aloud the variance request of Claude J. Haydel III, 806 E. Main St., Non-Compliance Sec. 120-147(c)(3) R-3 Single Family Residential, Side Setback, to reduce from 10 feet to 5 feet. Mr. Haydel explained his request to the Commission. After a brief discussion a motion to recommend the variance to the Town Council was made by Commissioner Popleon; seconded by Commissioner Perkins. The motion passed unanimously.

Commissioner Soniat made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Commissioner Perkins. The motion passed with a unanimous vote. The meeting adjourned at 6:40 PM.
