A motion to approve the minutes of the January 23, 2019, regular meeting of the Planning & Zoning Commission, as written, was made by Commissioner Soniat and seconded by Commissioner Purnell. The minutes were approved unanimously.
Chairman LeMoine read aloud the Variance Request from Cody Acosta for 253 W. Main Street for Non-Compliance – Sec. 19.31.1 Zoning District R-1 – Side Setback – to reduce the Side Setback from 10’ to 2’, in order to place a metal building. Commissioners had concerns about the setback variance request, and as there were no representatives present to answer questions, no action was taken, and the matter was tabled until the March meeting.

Following discussion, Chairman LeMoine closed the Public Hearing and referred the matter to the Commission. A motion to recommend the plat for approval to the Town Council was made by Commissioner Purnell, seconded by Chairman LeMoine. Commissioner Soniat recused himself from the vote. The motion passed unanimously. However, upon discussion by the Commission regarding the required number of commissioners to constitute a quorum for voting purposes, it was determined that the matter will be referred to Tom Acosta, attorney for the Town of Brusly, for a decision.
