Quarterly Meeting
Brusly, Louisiana

The Board of Commissioners met in quarterly session on January 9, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Brusly Town Hall. The meeting was called to order by CEO Joey Normand; Pledge of Allegiance was led by Chief Alleman. Roll call determined the following present:
Commissioners: Thomas Olinde, Joanne Bourgeois, Landess Hebert,
Shane André
Chief Executive Officer: Joey Normand
Fire Chief: Mike Alleman
Absent: Attorney Jamie Fontenot

The minutes of the Quarterly Meeting of October 10, 2011 were approved upon a motion by Commissioner Bourgeois; seconded by Commissioner Olinde. CEO Normand opened the floor for public comment. Hearing no comments the motion passed unanimously.

Fire Department quarterly bills were presented by CEO Joey Normand.

Fire Chief Alleman recommended a Budget Adjustment for payroll to comply with Civil Service personnel mandates. After some discussion it was decided to table the issue until more information was provided to the Commissioners.

Fire Chief’s Report:
Fire Chief Alleman gave the Fire Chief’s report for December. There were no fire calls inside the Town and seven (7) outside of Town. There were six (6) first aid calls inside of Town and nine (9) outside of Town. There were two (2) motor vehicle crashes, one (1) mutual aid call, one (1) arson call and one (1) bomb threat call. The total calls for the month were twenty-seven (27). The total for the year is three hundred six (335).

Asst. Fire Chief Hunts presented an award to former Commissioner Kershaw for his eleven years of service to Fire Sub-district #2 of West Baton Rouge.
Hunts also invited all the Commissioners to the Fire Banquet which will be held on January 28, 2012.

Commissioner André made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Commissioner Olinde. The motion carried, and meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
